VINYL SPINS ITS WAY BACK ON THE GOLD COAST
THERE is a music revolution in Australia and it’s happening at 33-⅓ revolutions per minute. Vinyl is the old new black and the Gold Coast is in on the spin. All across the Gold Coast, retail outlets are responding to the resurgence of vinyl records, one that saw Australian music fans lash out $15.1 million in 2016. According to statistics from the Australian Recording Industry Association, that was an increase of 70 per cent on the previous year and was the sixth year in succession that the industry reported an increased demand for vinyl.
